
Jo Sherlock
Jo is the Group Director of Commercial Rights at the BBC, transforming the commercial approach and relationships for the organisation’s future across digital, audio, video and social media; working with Boards & key stakeholders, both at the Corporation and with partners across the industry to forge new growth opportunities for BBC services and brands.
Jo has led commercial and advertising teams across UK, Asia & EMEA at several leading media organisations prior to being at the BBC including NBCUniversal, BT, Disney, Paramount & Comcast where she managed the launches of Universal+ and Peacock services in multiple markets.
She has overseen the success of a portfolio of global brands in Film, Drama, Music, News and Sport, embracing the creativity and technology that brings the best in audience experiences.
Highlights include the creation and development of multiple digital products and streaming SVOD services across Europe, Middle East, Asia and Africa, She has strong relationships with entertainment platforms including Sky, Comcast, Amazon, Disney+, Vodafone and Virgin and she is passionate about forming lasting creative partnerships across the media community to support key talent.
In addition, Jo is on the Trading Board of London Museum.
Outside of her role, Jo surfs competitively and has a passion for the ocean, sound work and wellbeing.
